East Antrim Alliance MLA, Stewart Dickson, is urging you to review your energy bills. Following the announcement that various companies are to put up Gas Prices in the Greater Belfast area by 7.8%, with effect from 1 April 2018. The increase is expected to affect around 150,000 gas customers in the Greater Belfast area, which extends into East Antrim, with typical household annual gas bills expected to rise by £39 per year.
Stewart Dickson MLA said: “Whilst unfortunate news, there is good advice available from the Consumer Council, on how to save on your energy bills, how to shop around and become more energy efficient and designed to save you the most money possible.
“The Consumer Council and their free online Energy Price Comparison Tool lets you compare gas and electricity tariffs currently available with all suppliers. In order to ensure you are getting the best deal possible.”
