Dickson Welcomes Virgin Media’s Re-commitment to Finish Works by ‘End of November’
September 15, 2017
East Antrim Alliance MLA, Stewart Dickson, has welcomed further assurance from Virgin Media, that they will have completed their cable laying works in Greenisland by the end of November this year.
Mr Dickson said: “In recent weeks, many constituents contacted me concerned that Virgin Media cable laying work seemed to have halted in Greenisland, and many were worried that the company had decided to pull out of the area. I am happy to confirm that Virgin Media have made clear to me their commitment to Greenisland, and clarified that the inactivity over the past few weeks was as a result of health and safety issues and changing contractors.
“Furthermore, Virgin Media are keen to engage with the local community, so will be holding a local information event on Tuesday 24 October from 6PM to 8PM, at the Jubilee Hall, 84 Station Road, Greenisland. I would encourage everyone who can to attend, to express any concerns, and learn about the great benefits that this additional connectivity for Greenisland will have.”
