Dickson Encourages Local Groups Affected by Covid-19 to Apply for Lottery Heritage Fund

East Antrim MLA, Stewart Dickson, has encouraged local heritage organisations to apply to the National Lottery Heritage Emergency Fund, which is offering two strands of grants with support ranging from £3,000 to £250,000. Dickson Welcomes Driving Licence Extension

East Antrim Alliance MLA, Stewart Dickson, has welcomed a statement by the Infrastructure Minister that Driving Licences with an expiry date from the 1 February to 31 August 2020 will automatically be treated as valid for a further seven months, as a result of an EU regulation. From Friday 22 May 2020, an online book of Remembrance is being launched, to remember those who have lost their lives to Covid-19 across the UK. The project is being led by St Paul’s Cathedral and is open to all faiths and beliefs. Mr Dickson commented: "I welcome this memorial to bring together the memories of those lost, and I hope it gives some comfort to those bereaved that the names of their loved ones are being read and remembered across the country and world." Dickson Expresses Concern Regarding EasyJet Data Breach

East Antrim Alliance MLA, Stewart Dickson, has expressed concern following an announcement by EasyJet that the email addresses and travel details of approximately nine million customers, and the credit card details of more than 2,000 customers have been accessed by hackers. Mr Dickson commented: “Although many people will be understandably worried by this news, EasyJet has said that there is no evidence that any information has been misused, and they will be informing affected customers in the coming days.
