Emotional and Psychological Support Vital for People with Diabetes - Dickson

Alliance East Antrim MLA, Stewart Dickson, has called for greater emotional and psychological support to be made available to people with diabetes. Mr Dickson, who is Chair of the Assembly All-Party Group on Diabetes commented: “In a survey conducted by Diabetes UK, 70% of people felt overwhelmed by the day to day pressures of managing diabetes and that they should receive more support for their wellbeing. East Antrim Alliance MLA, Stewart Dickson, has welcomed a new free helpline for parents in Northern Ireland. Parentline NI is a free service providing advice, support or guidance to people caring for children. Calls are answered by qualified and experienced staff with 'a commitment to putting children and families first'. Dickson Elated with Alliance Surge in Local Elections

Alliance East Antrim MLA, Stewart Dickson, has expressed delight at the success of Alliance candidates across Northern Ireland, but especially in the local Mid and East Antrim Council area. On Thursday 2nd May, the Alliance Party had its best election since 1977, gaining 21 seats and capturing 11.5% of the first-preference vote across Northern Ireland.
