Dickson Welcomes Departmental Commitment to Islandmagee PS New Build

East Antrim MLA, Stewart Dickson, has welcomed a commitment from the Education Authority (EA) and Department of Education that the Business Case for a new building for Islandmagee Primary School, will be submitted before the summer. The EA made the commitment in a response to a letter co-signed by the five MLAs of East Antrim, and states that: ‘it is anticipated that the full business case will be submitted for consideration before the summer’. Dickson welcomes Publication of Report on Fatal Foetal Abnormality

East Antrim Alliance MLA, Stewart Dickson, has welcomed the publication of joint Department of Health and Justice report which recommends changes in abortion law here. The working group on fatal foetal abnormality, set up before the election in May 2016, will recommend the 'law be changed to provide for termination of pregnancy where an abnormality is of such a nature as to be likely to cause death either before birth, during birth or in the early period after birth'. The full report will be published by the Department of Justice and Department of Health. East Antrim Alliance MLA, Stewart Dickson, is the Council of Europe Congress Spokesperson on the Observation of Local and Regional elections and a Member of the Council for Democratic Elections. The Congress has recently launched a new Practical Guide, which has been contributed to by Mr Dickson. East Antrim Alliance MLA, Stewart Dickson, has said the time has now come for the town of Whitehead to be connected to the Northern Ireland natural gas network.
