Dickson Reports on Elections at Council of Europe

Alliance East Antrim MLA, Stewart Dickson, has reported to the Council of Europe the results of monitoring of elections in Georgia and San Marino. Speaking at the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, Mr Dickson expressed a positive outlook on for both regions. Greenisland Virgin Media Work to Restart

Stewart Dickson MLA has welcomed an assurance from Virgin Media that they have resolved their ‘contractor issues’ and will start work again immediately after Easter. Mr Dickson commented: "Virgin Media now tell me that Greenisland will be completed by early to mid-June, which I think Greenisland residents will welcome. The light at the tunnel for this disruption is of course expanded broadband provision and choice for local people, so we look forward to its completion."

Dickson Welcomes Expansion at Mossley West Park and Ride

Alliance East Antrim MLA, Stewart Dickson has welcomed further commitment from Translink that they intend to expand the Park and Ride facilities at Mossley West Halt. Mr Dickson commented: “At the recent Alliance Party Conference, I had the opportunity to question Translink on the problem of severely lacking parking spaces at the station. “They have responded with concrete commitments to expand the spaces considerably. Dickson Calls for Delivery of Diabetes Strategy

East Antrim Alliance MLA, Stewart Dickson, has called for full delivery of an agreed Diabetes Strategy after a major report stated a clear opportunity to improve care for those living with the condition was missed. The Northern Ireland Audit Office Report said while a review of diabetes care in 2003 outlined best practice towards those with Type 2 diabetes, limited implementation and a lack of a comprehensive strategy from the Department of Health until 2016, meant a lack of value for money for services relating to it. Dickson Welcomes Step Forward In Fight Against Environmental Crime

East Antrim MLA, Stewart Dickson, has welcomed a new step in the fight against environmental crime in the form of a new partnership between the Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) and Forensic Science Northern Ireland (FSNI). The two organisations have signed a memorandum strengthening the current links between them and aiming for closer co-operation.
